Our Story

Brand Philosophy
is the subsidiary of LG Household & Health Care. Being the pioneer of naturally-fermented cosmetics in Korea, we strive to produce safe, gentle and high performance products to unveil the rejuvenation powers of nature. By combining a selection of natural botanicals with the wisdom of fermentation“Life, Devotion, Waiting”, we have developed the patented core ingredient, Cytosis® to bring skin the transformation miracle with clean beauty.
Natural Fermentation Research Center
Fermentation takes place in ´s Natural Fermentation Research Center, located in a clean, uncontaminated region of Korea (GangWon province), where there are no large-scale commercial facilities within 10km radius. Charcoals, fermenters made of oak, cedar and pottery are laid on the floor of the fermentation room to facilitate the fermentation of ingredients and natural microbes under optimal temperature and humidity. Then, the long wait of“Natural Fermentation”process begins.
The Life Force of Natural Fermentation
“Fermentation“ is the process to generate active properties essential for phenomenon of life from natural microbes throughout a long period of time. It is a natural process to produce properties for improving skin condition and increasing the effectiveness of active ingredients greatly. ‘s natural fermentation process uses the power of nature, such as water, wind, land, air, season and the precious properties of natural microbes. Safe, gentle yet effective, the formulas are free from artificial preservatives, synthetic fragrance and microbeads.
Core Ingredients
A total of 88 kinds of roots, stems, flowers and seeds are, without any additives, fermented separately. Only plants that lived through an annual cycle will be chosen to obtain extracts with skin beneficial quality. This leads to the completion of our patented Cytosis® ingredient and also our star product — Secret Essence.

Process of Natural Fermentation

1. Selection of Raw Materials

We select healthy, clean, unblemished ingredients grown in clean lands of Korea. Each plant has an equivalent human age of 22-23, meaning that their vitality has reached the maximum state.

2. Preparation of Fermentation

The plants are cut into pieces to fit in the fermenters. Then, we spread charcoal on the floor of fermentation room to purify the energy of the earth, and wait for plants to ferment naturally without adding any artificial substances.

3. The Vitality of Botanicals

For 7 consecutive days, the plants undergo an intensive fermentation process and release their vital energy.

4. 365 Days of Devotion

The plants are allowed to ferment, under the temperature of 37°C, for entire 4 seasons. Through this process where yeasts are generated and perished repeatedly, we can obtain yeast metabolites with skin-beneficial properties.
